I recently embarked on the adventure of becoming a radio show host.
In my effort to study and report on people who have dealt with change in a positive way and those who have learned to respond to the battles life brings our ways, I've created two bi-weekly shows on two different radio networks.
This week's guest will be amazing!!!
Shows are live and listeners may call in with their own questions for these guests!

I've been blessed these past few months to be part of a book tour at the Microsoft store.
December was my first in Atlanta, GA. January was in Houston, TX and this month was this last weekend in Austin, TX.
Third time is the charm apparently because we were finally able to capture video of my moment in the spotlight.
I love investing in others by sharing a bit of my story...I hope this little tidbit of my story encourages you as well.…Continue
A couple of months ago, I embarked on a new adventure of writing the first of what I hope will be many books.
You see, years ago, I came to a realization. As a young girl, I had grown up constantly looking for my Prince Charming to come and whisk me away from all of my troubles. It was this mindset that stopped me from accepting the one man God had for me as he was. Public speaking is something I both love and hate. I absolutely adore inspiring others but oh how nerve wracking it is to be standing in front of hundreds or thousands of people and wondering if your message is getting across.
I recently ran across this article and found it to be fascinating. I thought others here might also find it of value.…Continue
So often, we are tempted to accept life where it is.
That it will just be this way forever and we might as well just learn to be okay with it..
We strive for the "american dream"...to marry that one spouse, to get that one job and to buy that one house, living in the same city until we die.
There's nothing wrong with that dream if it's what you want but what do we do when life doesn't go the way we want?
You grab a hold of it and accept that it MUST…Continue

Recently, I was asked to participate in a video Cisco and ClearCaptions were making regarding captioned phones. They flew me down to California in February and taped the video on Cisco headquarters.
The video is finally out and there is a nice press release too! The words I spoke were my own and I was not compensated for my part in this video.
This service is now available at my employer's site because I asked a simple question at a business dinner one night. To me, this is…Continue

Every so often I find a great quote I really love.
This one, in particular, I found today:
When there's that moment of 'Wow, I'm not really sure I can do this,' and you push through those moments, that's when you have a breakthrough. Sometimes that's a sign that something really good is about to happen. You're about to grow and learn a lot about yourself.”
Marissa Mayer, Yahoo CEO
I found this particularly motivating due to the fact I'm expecting to go through some…Continue
