Digital media mogul, molymath, raconteur. The 2,947th most interesting man in the world.
As Will Rogers once said, "If ya done it, it ain't braggin'."
I was one of the true pioneers of what we now call social media. I taught my first workshop in "Online Business Networking" in December 2002, and was coaching people on it in January 2003. So far as I know, that makes me the world's first social media consultant. :-)
My first book, The Virtual Handshake: Opening Doors and Closing Deals Online was the first book on the business use of social media. Although it was published in 2005, we really tried to make it timeless, and focus on general business strategies and relationship-building techniques in a virtual world, rather than on the specifics of any of the platforms. As such, it's probably even more relevant now than when it was first published. It's available in e-book form for free here (PDF, 272 pages).
Over the past decade, I've co-authored or contributed to dozens of books on marketing, entrepreneurship, social media, network marketing and more. I've been a columnist for Fast Company, About.com, OPEN Forum, and more.
Currently, I'm an executive at Momentum Factor, a digital marketing agency exclusively serving direct selling companies. On the side, I also work with B2B service providers, showing them how to add passive income streams from their existing customers.
Let's connect and discover how we might be of service to each other!
