Gil Pizano is currently an information systems manager at The Travelers, the second-largest writer of commercial U.S. property casualty insurance. At Travelers he manages application releases across various platforms for the business insurance management intelligence segment of the company. Gil is also on the board of the Connecticut chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. An organization widely known as the "Premier Hispanic Organization" whose mission is to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society.

Prior to joining The Travelers, Gil worked for many years with United Healthcare’s Oxford Health Plans segment where he led numerous software/application life cycle development and continuous improvement programs. While at United Healthcare he earned Silver and Bronze Awards for excellence in program development, process automation, and strategic product releases.

In 2003, Gil was a founding member of a Toastmasters club for United Healthcare employees and served on the organization’s board for three consecutive years as treasurer and then as secretary.

Gil earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Hartford. In 2007, he completed an MBA with a concentration in risk management at the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business.

Originally from Queens, NY, Gil now lives in West Hartford, CT with his wife Jessica and their dog Sammy.
