That's a very intriguing point, Joe...

For me, I see value in broadening those who can assess our expertise beyond those who know us.   (Many of us have worked for people who aren't very good at assessing the full spectrum of our talent.)

You bring up an excellent point and you ask a good question.

I haven't heard of any next strategic steps Linkedin will take regarding Linkedin Answers but, if it were up to me, I'd vote that Linkedin Answers be revamp, reformatted rather than being wholly discarded.  (I liked the engagement from Linkedin Answers but, it was far too siloed|too hierarchical...  It could be greatly simplified and still remain highly important to Linkedin members.)

Just a friendly reminder: This group is for LINKEDIN. If you want to make announcements not pertaining to Linkedin, please consider other, more appropriate groups such as "My Announcements"

You may announce on that group site as much as you'd like

Hello everyone. I am a member at the MyLinkedIn Power Forum on the Yahoo Group. I am a virtual assistant. I provide secretarial services to realtors and investors. I'd like to provide services to recruiters, but I don't know how to help them. I look forward to meeting the new members here.

I just created a new group centered around those individuals who have used the Gallup Organization's Strength Finder tool. Would like to see a viable community created to discuss how this tool has had an affect on your professional life. A community of professionals focused on brand strategy for brand energy.
