Organizers of the Wine Country Film Festival have set the dates for the 31st edition September 22 – 24
Films from around the world, seminars and workshops and receptions will take place in select venues in Kenwood and Glen Ellen including the Kenwood Depot, the Event Room at the Fire Station and new this year the amphitheater at Quarryhill Botanical Gardens in Glen Ellen.
“We discovered the amphitheater last fall and fell in love with it,” states Cynthia Young, WCFF Assistant Director. “Built in honor of Marilyn Smith, a patron of the arts and former executive director of the Mountain Play Association in Marin County, this outdoor venue is the perfect place to screen movies. It is simply spectacular!” Picnics are welcome. Rainy Day Chocolate and Cafe will sell food each night. Wine will be sold by Quarryhill volunteers. Please no outside alcohol. Chairs will be provided and low back chairs and blankets are welcome.
Back by popular demand will be a seminar with cinematographer and local Oakmont resident Jack Green, the American camera operator turned director of photography who is noted for his somber visual sensibility and long, fruitful collaboration with Clint Eastwood.
Charlie Arturaola, a world-renowned sommelier,  will conduct a comprehensive lecture and tasting on wine at the Depot followed by his latest film  The Duel of Wine in the amphitheater.
Arturaola according to the American Wine Association has one of the ten best palates in the world. One sip and he can tell you the complete history of the wine.
