For those of you who have read my blogs, you will remember a blog about lookology. Lookology was the opposite of lisology and part of the looklisology interviewing process. Both are interviewing techniques, both are designed to take interviewing to the next level, and work very well with behavioral interviewing. Lisology was the process of not only listening to what is said but the way it is said, the choice of words, inflexions, pauses, and sighs to garner more information about a candidate. As you can imagine Lookology is the process were we look at the nonverbal communication going on during an interview. These nonverbal communications are also called “tells”. Well A friend of mine was telling me about this book called, “What Every Body is Saying” by Joe Navarro. I bought the book and read it, in fact I am rereading it. This book sums up lookology and in fact teaches it in a way, better than I ever could. In this book Joe makes it clear how to identify all the things I talked about in my blog on Lookology. Joe takes his 25 years of experience as an FBI agent, and expert in “Speed-Reading” people and explains to everyone how you can do it, and in my blog I explain how to use in in interviewing. It’s a must read, if you want to be a better interviewer and expert in Lookology.
