Thanks for sharing your very rich experience(s) with us. What's so cool about the concept of "pay it forward" is when we find ourselves challenged by something in our lives and someone shows up to help and reminds us of "pay it forward"s we'd done in the past and forgot about. More clearly: recently, a few people have extended a helping hand to me and as I was thanking them they reminded me of something I'd helped them with a year, 2 years, 3 years ago. But, the funny thing? I didn't remember those things until they reminded me! Vicki, there's something so completely encouraging about life when we experience circular serendipity like that.

It's super late here so, I'll stop for now...but, I must say your 3 young men are blessed to have a mother like you! :-)

I take one day at a time and relish the friends and family I have as a truly remarkable gift. I try to brighten at least one life daily, if for only a moment and a smile. I mentor and offer assistance and whenever it is welcome and warranted. I ask nothing in return, and if pressed ask them to kindly "pay it forward".

Yes I have had trials, tragedies and tribulations, and been hurt my more than one friend or family member. I forget and forgive and move on to the many wonderful souls and moments that are out there, if one only keeps your eyes open and are keen enough to recognize them when you see them. I am not gullible, nor think I am foolish in believing there is good in almost everyone and try and bring out the best.

As a mother of 3 young men and typically holding a management position (I am seeking a new career at the present) I believe in leadership by example. I tried to lead an exemplary life and want to leave a legacy of honor, ethics and high morale fiber behind me. I want to have made a positive impact on as many as is humanly possible in my lifetime. If I fulfill my goals, I will deem my life as having been successful.
