Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) were introduced in 1999 with a purpose to provide a boost to the Indian IT Industry which was at a nascent stage at that time. The major benefits that companies located in these STPI zones would get are their revenues earned from exporting their softwares will not be taxed. These softwares include writing codes/computers of the US,UK based companies. Earlier the scheme was supposed to expire in March 2009.

Cuba and its people have great challenges. For many years they bet for a different project or social system in Latin America. Just this has been enough to create rivers of books, love and hate.
But let’s skip years and feelings, war and peace. Now, maybe we are facing new challenges. Is it possible to be different and accepted? Is it possible to be different in a global world? How much a country must give up to be accepted as “normal”, and exactly what does that means?
But let’s skip… Continue

Cuba is an island with sandy, palm-fringed shores and temperate, crystal-clear waters and breezes carrying the scent of frangipani, mango and guava. The towns and cities are abundant with Spanish colonial architecture, grand plazas and the famed classic automobiles. Everywhere you venture, visual references of the 1959 revolution abound, and the sounds of salsa music fill the air. From the relaxed and beautiful beaches of Varadero, to the run-down grandeur of Havana, Cuba is… Continue

I have been thinking quite a bit about the cost of one gallon of gasoline and the impact this expense is having on many Americans in so many ways.
It is not bad enough that we have to pay almost $3.50 per gallon but everything we purchase is going up in price because of it. The increased cost of living covers more that just the fuel that we use in our own vehicles. It includes the fuel to heat our homes, the fuel to heat our schools, office buildings, grocery stores etc.… Continue

It's a nice primer on the subject and should be taped to the cubicles of all my marketing bretheren
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TACTICS AND strategy can be monumental in the success… Continue

In the physical world infections are usually a reference to our bodies. In the virtual world the term infections usually carries a connotation of viruses infecting our machines. However there is another dimension of infection and that is in reference to our minds.
An infection of our minds is the colonization of our thoughts by the thoughts and words of others. In an infection, the infecting thoughts and words from others seek to utilize our resources to multiply. The… Continue

Take a good look at the last several promises you made or were made to you. Did you or they keep them? The answer is a clear indication of whether you’re a person or they are a person of their word.
Everyday actions also give clues to how good you are at honoring commitments, even to yourself. Do you stay on budgets or diets you set? Do you keep appointments and show up on time?” Your peers are your best judges, so ask them how reliable you are, suggests Randy Cohen, the… Continue

I voted in our [Pennsylvania] primary election today.
I am amazed at how fickle Americans are when it comes to voting. Sometimes they turn out en-mass and other times the turn out can be embarrassing. I question this inconsistency.
When election day comes, I think about all of the people who fought for the freedom to vote. I think about countries who do not have this option and how lucky we are here in the USA to have the ability to select our leaders.
I think… Continue
