I'm currently an associate professor in the Department of Advertising at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received my doctorate from the Ohio State University in 2001.
I'm also the author of "Madison Avenue and the Color Line: African Americans in the Advertising Industry." This book goes behind the scenes to chronicle African Americans' decades-long fight to bring racial diversity and equal opportunity to the advertising industry. Accordingly it should interest anyone interested in the struggle to diversify corporate and white-collar America.
