Dr. Sajal Kabiraj is a Post Doctoral Fellow (Supply Chain Management), PhD (Information Technology & Management), MS (International Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from JIBS, Sweden - IIM Ahmedabad, India and a MBA with specialization in Marketing & Operations Management and a Chemical Engineer (BE, Chemical Engg.) with specialization in Biotechnology & Biochemical Engg. Sajal also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Foreign Trade from the World Trade Institute and has pursued advanced courses in Statistical Methods and Business Process Re-engineering.
Sajal is a recipient of academic scholarships viz, The Arvind Mafatlal Group fellowship for MBA studies, the Ministry of HRD doctoral fellowship, Govt of India, doctoral consortium fellowships from the University of Cologne, Germany, Information Institute, University of Portland, USA, and University of Roskilde, Denmark.
Sajal was awarded the ‘ICFAI Best Teacher Award 2008’ for academic research and teaching excellence by Dr Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group at the 20th AIMS Annual Convention held on 29th August, 2008 at the Welingkar Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai. Sajal is the youngest teacher in the country to receive the coveted award at the age of 33 years. (The award which carries a citation and a cash component is instituted by All India Association of Management Schools (AIMS) International and is awarded to the best teacher amongst all the 2000 plus Business Schools and Universities across the country of India.)

Sajal has been lecturing the students of Executive MBA at the University of Applied Sciences, St. Polten, Austria during the summer semesters in 2008 and 2009.

Sajal specializes in Supply Chain Management Consulting and Customer Relationship Management Practices for Retail Companies and Innovation based Market Research studies. Sajal is a visiting faculty at leading management schools in India, Austria, UAE, Canada and Malaysia. He has also developed a number of CRM modules for industry executives. Sajal has been actively involved in research studies with Datamatics Inc, Panasonic, Telekom Malaysia, The Coca Cola Company, SIDBI, Jasubhai Media, CIDCO and Schenker Logistics AB.
Sajal has ten years of industrial work experience having worked with MNCs like IndoRama and NOCIL (Petrochemicals), a JV of Royal Dutch Shell and AMG. He published several research papers in peer reviewed refereed international journals, refereed international conferences and articles in business magazines and newspapers. He is also presently co-authoring a book on CRM to be published by Pearson. His research papers are also published on the ECommerce MIT website, USA and European Center for Customer Strategies, UK. He is recipient of best research paper award in National and International Conferences. His papers have been presented and published in the countries like USA, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia, Thailand, UAE and Singapore.
