Whether or not it damaged or altered you, going through tragedy doesn't mean you're permanently "owned" by that tragedy.
Two key questions are:
1.) "Where can you go to leave that tragedy behind?" and/or
2.) "Now that I've intimately experienced that tragedy, what is the VERY BEST THING I CAN GET OUT OF IT?" (Tragedy isn't trash. It's FUEL...)
