7 Big Data Steps in Health Science

Every year we go to our doctor to get checked out. And being really busy, our doctor has only minutes to complete an examination and do a preemptive strike on any health ailments that we personally may be facing in the next few years. But did you know... to not miss anything our doctor is getting help from Big Data? With the rising costs from R&D and us getting longer life-spans, Big Data is becoming more entrenched and more crucial to reducing the investment needed to keep us healthy. But, how does Big Data actually do this?

Intriguing perspective, Alex ... (I'll review your links in a bit more detail a little later...)

I just looked  at Chris Pechura's comment from 2013 (You can tell I was working in IT at that time and had no time for myself, no matter how hard I tried).  His comment  reads

T is a very interesting industry. Everytime IT acclimates a position in its ranks, it changes the position drastically. For instance, positions that were a combination of manager, leader, strategist, and analyst become IT-ized to becoming just a plain analysts. I've seen this happen with positions such as business analyst,  enterprise architect, business architect, program manager, project manager, consultant, and even manager.

If my manager is an analyst, then who is managing me?

So if you want to move away from frontline programming it looks like frontline programming will follow you.

IT has a habit of trying to blend specialities in order to  save money  foster collaborative links between specialties. Hence DevOPs and the tendency to use senior developers as junior architects and managers with neither the title, authority or  the salary to go with it.

IT has been described as the most exploitative industry on the planet, though I think that is a highly contested title, and I have recently been looking at the way IT  corporate culture can destroy the benefits of Agile development and ensure developers cannot advance their career.

The problems seem to lie not with Agile, or even the software industry, but Business culture as a whole.

#BadAlgorithms: 1) Take cold coffee 2) Heat up 3) Let cool down (so you can drink it) @Techese

It's easier to complain about technology than to design technology. (But, real technologists will design OUT problems prior to complaints.)
