Angel Investing Revealed

Experienced angel investors, Ron Conway, Founder of Angel Investors LP, and Mike Maples, Founder of Maples Investments, provide a rare look into the ins and outs of angel investing. Conway and Maples discuss how angel investors assess opportunities, provide assistance to entrepreneurs and transition start-ups to larger venture investments or exit. In addition, Conway and Maples provide advice to entrepreneurs about finding one's passion and developing that passion into new ventures, including insight into how much money to raise and how to manage that money after it is in the bank.

Tunesmith Entertainment is creating a new model in the music industry that reaches out to brands for long term partnerships with our talent. We would like funding for 12 projects in the next 3 years for development thru distribution of product. We offer an excellent ROI and would love to share our business plan.

It should not be a problem but I will double check on that, the minimum is 1000 shares. Thanks for the help.

Is there a minimum amount of shares one must purchase?

If you are asking about the paperwork to consummate a deal - then it will depend upon the type of transaction. If you are dealing with a "professional" angel - they may well present you with a term sheet that leads to an agreement, which will then be finalized by a legal document such as a stock purchase agreement.

Depending upon the specific situation, one could also use a Subscription Agreement. These are typically a part of a Private Placement Memorandum (PPM)

However, unless you are using a PPM - you will need some documents prior to the agreement. Typically, an executive summary which you will use to get interest, then a business plan for those interested parties to review.

Hope this helps. Feel free to drop me a PM or contact me directly, if you want to discuss your specific situation.
