This may be imaginary, since my data sample is small, but one apparent immediate effect of the health care legislation that recently passed in Washington has been that over the past few months the major health insurance companies seem to have gotten significantly more conservative in their underwriting. This adds up to quite a few people with health issues getting declined whom I would not have expected to be declined last fall. I've heard similar laments from some other agents. Has anyone got experiences to share from the consumer side?
