EXCERPT: "The Best Way to Keep a Man is to Let Him Go (among other things)"

LADIES!! (Men are ordering it, too!!) Invest in your relationship and get "The Best Way to Keep a Man is to Let Him Go (among other things)." Here's an excerpt: BE WILLING AND READY TO PAY YOUR DUES God put the onus on men that they must be willing to die for their women. So, I figured that, if I were a man, I would not be willing to die for a woman who could not show me that she was DEFINITELY in MY corner. In most long-term relationships where the couple is in their 70’s, or 80’s, or 90’s, the man seems content to sit back and relax and let his wife be the assertive one. Why? Probably because, in virtually all situations, she has proven that she will say and do the right thing. He knows that he can trust her judgment. That did not happen overnight. It also did not happen without a lot of tears shed by the female, a lot of unlearning undertaken by the female, a lot of “heated discussions,” and a lot of other stuff. My cousins Millail and Henrietta Jackson were married for over…See More

Does having a challenge mean you STOP LIVING? Absolutely NOT ... YOU Overcome!

If you think playing golf is hard ... you should see how a person with a physical or emotional challenge blossoms when they begin to share this glorious sport with their families and friends.  Life becomes better for ALL!  I am so touched by this video that I had to share it with all of you!  I LOVE THIS!  Tim would love my "Happy Word!" ... I am going to try and find him! This should absolutely make your day, week, month, year ... LIFE!I was blessed so very much when traveling the country and working with so many young people and older people with challenges.  THIS IS A FIRST!  Go Tim!!!  So impressed.  What's the matter with the rest of the world crying because things in life are "HARD?"  Bad hair day??? Get over it ... get a life ... and go help someone else! Love you all!See More

R.O.A.R.: Leading through Listening

Would you agree that many studies about joy and engagement in the workplace have a common thread?Employees send the solid message that the number one quality they’re looking for is a leader is a “good listener”.  We can do this by being quiet and listening but, also by asking excellent questions. Being the person with all the answers, is really old school.  If you do not know the questions to ask I know being a good listening will help you learn how to ask good questions. When you truly listen, you increase engagement, which is always a first step toward  trust. There are many more actionable steps  you can learn in a leadership style of a people-first professional and I guarantee it is how you sustain a professional relationship with staff and colleagues.  “What could I learn from my employees and colleagues…See More
